17 Jan Man formerly of Erie arraigned on heroin, fentanyl charges | News
A 20-year-old man is in Crawford County jail, facing multiple felony charges stemming from three heroin deals in the city of Meadville, including two in which the heroin in question contained fentanyl, according to state police.
Daniell Dandra Dunlap, formerly of Erie with his current address listed as the Crawford County jail, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Samuel Pendolino on Tuesday.
From June to July, Pennsylvania State Police conducted three controlled buys in which Dunlap allegedly sold heroin, according to the probable cause affidavit filed by police in the case. Police allege that Dunlap arranged the deals using two different phones but did not disclose the locations where they occurred in the criminal complaint filed in the case.
Testing of the substance allegedly sold in the various deals was conducted by the Erie Regional Lab and revealed the presence of heroin in all three substances and fentanyl in the samples from the second and third transactions.
The charges Dunlap faces include three felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to distribute, two third degree felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility, three misdemeanor counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered and three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dunlap remains in county jail in lieu of $50,000 monetary bail. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled before Pendolino for Jan. 28.
