Event Reminder: Fentanyl Epidemic Forum at PHS tonight | The Daily Courier

The community is invited to attend a Fentanyl Epidemic Forum at Prescott High School’s Ruth Street Theater from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10.

The forum, hosted by ARMED TO KNOW 911 is designed for youth ages 11-18 and their parents.

Presenters include:

  • Prescott Police Department
  • Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) taskforce
  • Juvenile Justice Services
  • Yavapai County Community Health Department

According to the organizers, the event will be structured differently than normal events and is in direct response to the recent deaths of two young adults in our community due to overdose of fentanyl.

Common drugs like marijuana and counterfeit prescription pills are being laced with this deadly substance and our kids, unknowingly, are experimenting with it. This forum will be a short 1-hour presentation to help arm children and parents with knowledge that can save lives.

For more information visit, armedtoknow.org or email info@armedtoknow.org, or see their Facebook page, facebook.com/armed2know.
