NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover Police arrested two men on drug charges Wednesday after an investigation into suspicious activity at the North Andover Mall. Luis Gonzalez, no age or date of birth provided, was charged with trafficking Fentanyl and possession of crack cocaine. Eric Stathakis, 40, of Arlington, was charged with possession of Fentanyl and assault and battery of a police officer.

According to Wicked Local North Andover, which first reported this story, police conducting surveillance followed Gonzalez from his home to the mall. In addition to 94 grams of Fentanyl on Gonzalez, police later found thousands of dollars in cash, 295 grams of Fentanyl and 7.5 grams of cocaine in his house.

Police said Stathakis was initially cooperative but started to struggle as he was taken into custody. “There was some kicking and pushing,”Lt. Eric Foulds said.
