Here’s a list of free Columbus events to help people with addictions – News – The Columbus Dispatch

People with addictions can receive free walk-in help — no appointments needed — today through Friday at seven Columbus locations.

The “Walk in for Recovery” events are being offered by the Columbus and Franklin County Addiction Plan to connect people with addictions, especially opioid addictions, to treatment and other help.

The events run from noon to 9 p.m., unless otherwise noted, at these locations:

• St. Stephens Community House, 1500 E. 17th Ave. in South Linden

• Central Community House, 1150 E. Main St. in Olde Towne East

• Ohio State University African American and African Studies Community Extension Center, 905 Mount Vernon Ave. in the King-Lincoln District (noon-5 p.m. only)

• John Maloney Healthcare Center, 1905 Parsons Ave. on the South Side

• Columbus Neighborhood Health Center-Great Southern, 3781 S. High St. on the South Side

• Jordan’s Crossing, 342 N. Hague Ave. in North Hilltop

• Africentric Personal Development Shop (APDS), 1409 Livingston Ave. in Driving Park

Most locations will offer meals, transportation, fentanyl test strips, naloxone and naloxone training, hepatitis A vaccines, substance use assessments, medication-assisted treatment assessments and addiction information and support. All services are free.

The Columbus and Franklin County Addiction Plan, which seeks to address the opiate crisis, is led by Columbus Public Health and is a collaboration between the city of Columbus, the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County and others.
