Local residents face drug-related charges after police search Keene home | Local News

Two people were arrested on drug-related charges Tuesday after Keene police executed a search warrant at a Castle Street apartment building.

Jeoffrey J. Majoy, whose last known address is 63 Castle St., is charged with sale of a controlled drug (heroin/fentanyl) and sale of a controlled drug (crack cocaine), according to a news release from Keene police. Shana Squires, 30, of 63 Castle St., was wanted for failing to appear after being indicted in December on a charge of sale of a controlled drug (heroin/fentanyl), police said.

The search warrant was issued after police investigated the sale of controlled drugs as part of Granite Shield, a state-funded initiative targeting opioid distribution in the state, the release says. During the investigation, police conducted a number of controlled buys of heroin/fentanyl and crack cocaine, according to the release.

Keene police, with the help of the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office, executed the warrant at 63/65 Castle St. Tuesday morning and arrested Majoy and Squires without incident.

Majoy was held on $10,000 bail at the Cheshire County jail, while Squires was held without bail.
