20 people charged in drug trafficking ring involving heroin and fentanyl, selling it to customers on city’s West Side

CLEVELAND — Twenty people were indicted Thursday for their roles in obtaining heroin and fentanyl and selling it to customers on Cleveland’s west side. During this alleged distribution ring, numerous people mentioned in the indictment sold the deadly drugs while illegally carrying firearms.

The following people were indicted on one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute heroin, fentanyl and fentanyl analogues:

• Cody Ray Lee, 25
• Lisa Goforth, 27
• Shaunna Collier, 23
• Virginia May, 37
• Tamie Seitz, 49
• John Dickson, 39, of Brunswick
• Elizabeth Gallagher, 30
• Bobbi Boylan, 34
• Imani Nicholson, 23, of Sheffield Village.

The indictment, summarized in a news release from the DOJ, alleges Wells and Davis had large amounts of heroin, fentanyl and fentanyl analogues that they sold to dealers and customers in Cleveland.

The main defendants mentioned in the news release, Wells and Davis, sold heroin and fentanyl to Collins, Gales, Moncrief, Edgell, Kucera, Moore, Hrdy, Truman, Medlik, Lee, Goforth, Collier, May, Seitz, Dickson and Gallagher.

Wells and Davis allegedly used Davis’ home in Sheffield Lake to store the drugs and store profits from their drug transactions, the release says. They were also indicted for firearms crimes.

The alleged drug-related activities took place between September 2017 and April 2019.

On March 1, Boylan and Goforth allegedly sold a mixture of heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil and acetylfentanyl to a person identified as T.M., who overdosed and suffered serious injuries, according to the release.

Boylan and Goforth are charged with distribution of heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil and acetylfentanyl with a potential sentencing for selling drugs that caused injuries to T.M.

Prosecutors are looking to seize six firearms and more than $44,000 seized as part of the investigation.

“This group is accused of selling deadly drugs, illegally carrying firearms, laundering their drug profits and contributing to this scourge that has killed thousands of Ohioans,” U.S. Attorney Justin E. Herdman said in a news release.
