FENTANYL BUST

Acting on a tip from a confidential informant, police arrested two Fall River men Wednesday on fentanyl trafficking charges after officers allegedly found 14 grams of the highly potent opioid in the trunk of their car. Seth Souza and Ryan Carvalho were each charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl.

POT ACCESSORIES

Fall River health officials have scheduled a hearing to “clarify” what the term “marijuana accessories” means after having voted to ban such items from local stores without specifying exactly what products would be affected.

BILL OF FARE

Gourmet waffles and kettle corn, Jamaican patties, Bombay chicken and vegan ice cream are just some of the new fare coming to the Fall River Food Truck Festival Saturday. The festival will be held at the Gates of the City on Ponta Delgada Boulevard on Saturday, May 25, from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

STORYTIME

On June 1, the library and F.R. Pride will offer the city’s first Drag Queen Storytime with Miss Naomi Chomsky in celebration of Pride Month.

TIDY BANDIT

And a Marlborough homeowner came home last week to find that someone had broken into his residence. But after a quick search, he realized nothing was missing. In fact, it was perfectly made up, more perfect than how the family left it when they went out.
