Devastated family and friends of a private boys’ school alumni shared memories of the well-known former prefect after he was killed in a car crash at Warner.
Former St Joseph’s Nudgee Collect prefect Peter William Tennant, 20, died when his car smashed into a tree when he was on his way home from a party.

WITNESSES’ HORROR TASK AT DOUBLE FATAL
Shell-shocked witnesses to a fatal smash which killed two people at Windsor in the early hours of Sunday morning revealed the horror scenes they were confronted with at the accident scene which closed a busy inner north road for seven hours.
They reported seeing a black BMW speed past, hitting and killing a moped rider before bouncing across the road into another vehicle – killing that person too – before the car flipped and the occupants fled.
CLIVE’S $60M ELECTION LOSS
Clive Palmer was counting the cost of his $60m blanket election advertising splurge, failing to secure a Senate seat in Queensland.
But the billionaire United Australia Party leader still declared his party a kingmaker, saying his ads helped drive down support for Labor.

It was one of the talking points in the week leading up to the Federal Election – a Gladstone Ports worker was suspended the day after he quizzed then-opposition leader Bill Shorten about Labor’s tax plan for higher-income earners.
