30 Jun Battleground man arrested, found with drugs and guns at a gas station
TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A man from Battleground was arrested early this morning after police found him with drugs and several guns.
It happened around 1:45 Sunday morning. Deputies from the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Speedway Gas Station on State Road 43 North. The call was about an unconscious driver.
Responding deputies found 37-year-old Justin Tyson asleep in a car that was parked next to a gas pump.
During the investigation, deputies found 8.5 grams of Fentanyl, 1.1 gram of Methamphetamine, and a large amount of Schedule II narcotic medication. They also found several guns in the car.
Though investigated, deputies say they found no evidence that Tyson had been driving under the influence of any substance. He was arrested and taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail. He is charged with Possession of Fentanyl, Dealing of Fentanyl, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule II Narcotic and Dealing Schedule II Narcotic.
