BCSO: $50K, 800 pills, guns seized – News – Panama City News Herald

SPRINGFIELD — A month-long drug investigation led to three arrests and the seizure of more than $50,000, guns and about 800 pills that have initially tested positive for the potent and dangerous drug fentanyl.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division (SID), according to a press release, began an investigation about a month ago that led to three search warrants being served in the Springfield area Thursday.

It was during that search that investigators reported finding more than 800 pills in one home, with the pills looking like oxycodone, a powerful painkiller. But the release said a field test showed positive for fentanyl and the pills “are being sent to a laboratory for additional testing to positively identify them.”

Also seized were $51,000 in cash, amounts of crack cocaine, and two handguns. One of the handguns was reported stolen by another local law enforcement agency, the release stated.

Those arrested were Antonio R. McDonald, 38, of 109 Detroit Ave., Panama City, on charges of trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in hydrocodone, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia; Donald W. Palmore, 56, a transient, on charges of possession of crack cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Krystal K. Underwood, 34, a transient, on charges of possession of crack cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
