‘Bosch’ Season 5 Air Date: What Mishap Awaits Harry During His Off-The-Books Mission?

“Bosch” Season 5 is only two weeks away and fans of the police procedural can’t wait for yet another action-packed installment. The story will start off 15 months after the conclusion of the previous entry, CheatSheet reported.

“Bosch” Season 5 will have the titular detective deal with a deadly drug cartel involved in the distribution of fentanyl. This drug acts similarly to morphine although it’s 50 to 100 times more potent. Using fentanyl as one of the series’ major plotlines is a great way to bring awareness to the drug, especially since it has become so widespread in several territories.

Indeed, a man in Boston was recently apprehended after handing out free samples of fentanyl to two unidentified individuals. In “Bosch” Season 5, the drug will be introduced when Harry (Titus Welliver) investigates a murder at a pharmacy, which led him to track down the group responsible for producing it.

The fifth installment will have Harry go on an off-the-books mission to infiltrate the cartel, an endeavor alien to the seasoned detective. Welliver has already hinted what fans can expect on this “Bosch” Season 5 plotline, EW reported.

“We’ve never seen Bosch undercover — he’s a homicide detective, so that’s not part of his job description. But in the pursuit of this case, he has to go undercover, and he has no cellphone, he has no panic button, he can’t wear a wire, and he has no idea where this is going to take him.” Indeed, the trailer for “Bosch” Season 5 heavily highlighted this fact, with Harry going on a one-man hunt for whoever is behind the murders.

Even Edgar (Jamie Hector), who has always look after Harry’s back, will be of no help during the infiltration. Of course, it’s not a question of whether or not Harry will survive this encounter, but how he’ll survive. Will he be tortured sometime during this operation? That remains to be seen. Fortunately, it won’t be long before all the fans’ questions will be answered as Amazon slated “Bosch” Season 5 to air all 10 episodes on April 19.
