DRUGS FOUND: A Coldwater woman, 26, was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl after a traffic stop at 3:09 a.m. Tuesday. Battle Creek police said they saw a car with a inoperable brake light turn from Beckley Road to Capital Avenue Northeast and then to westbound Interstate 94. Police stopped the car and the man driving, 34, from Coldwater, said the car was owned by the female passenger. Police said they found a plastic bag of the drug along with scales and some marijuana in the car. Officers said the woman had been sending text messages about getting high on an ounce and the found fentanyl was about an ounce. The man was released.

MAN ASSAULTED: Battle Creek police are seeking a warrant for a man, 19, after another man, 67, said he was assaulted as he left work at Prairie Farms, 126 Brady Road at 12:23 a.m. Tuesday. The victim said when he left the business he was assaulted by three men waiting outside. Police said the victim said the assault was about a video game and that one of the men didn’t want him around the suspect’s mother. Police said they were unable to identify the other two men involved.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Battle Creek police have reported the following cases:

• A warrant is being sought for a man, 15, after his mother, 34, said she was pushed after she accused her son and some other boys of having guns. The incident was reported in the 300 block of Arbor Pointe Drive at 8:56 p.m. Monday.

• Warrants are being sought for brothers, ages 23 and 17, after they fought in the 500 block of Breezy Bluff at 3:48 p.m. Monday.

ASSAULT: Battle Creek police arrested a woman, 43, was arrested after she pushed a man who she accused of taking her phone in the 400 block of Capital Avenue Northeast at 5:20 p.m. Monday. The man, 51, was arrested for hindering police and for two unrelated warrants after officers said he refuse to give them his correct name.
