NEW CHARGES

Kenneth C. Martinez, 38, no known address, was charged June 5 with domestic-violence second-degree burglary, two counts of protection-order violation, and vehicle theft on May 11. He pleaded not guilty June 10, and his trial is scheduled for Sept. 4 and 5.

Jayda M. Savage, 18, Walla Walla, was charged on June 7 with clonazepam possession without a prescription and using drug paraphernalia on May 1, 2018. She was summoned to appear in court July 8.

Samuel L. Johnson, 37, Walla Walla, was charged June 11 with meth possession, second-degree stolen property possession, third-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license and obstructing a law enforcement officer Oct. 13, 2018. He was summoned to appear in court July 15.

Amber M. Martinez, 40, Longview, was charged June 11 with second-degree introducing contraband and possession of a controlled substance by a person not a prisoner Nov. 9, 2018. She was summoned to appear in court July 29.

Timothy S. O’Brien, 35, Walla Walla, was charged June 11 with vehicular assault, second-degree malicious mischief, possession of meth and oxycodone, and using drug paraphernalia June 4, 2017. He was summoned to appear in court July 8.

Edward P. Humbert, 24, Kent, was charged June 11 with fentanyl possession, using drug paraphernalia, making false/misleading statements to a public servant and third-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license Oct. 11, 2018. He was summoned to appear in court July 1.

Darren L. Millar, 23, no known address, Walla Walla, was charged June 12 with residential burglary and fourth-degree assault-domestic violence June 11. His arraignment is scheduled for June 24.

David L. Tucker, 56, no known address, Walla Walla, was charged June 12 with residential burglary and assault in violation of a protection/no contact order June 1. His arraignment is scheduled for July 1.

Brandon J. Huber, 27, Walla Walla, was charged June 12 with second-degree organized retail theft, first-degree identity theft, and second-degree theft Jan. 14. He was summoned to appear July 22.

Kristina A. Holebrook, 26, Walla Walla, was charged June 12 with second-degree organized retail theft, first-degree identity theft, and second-degree theft Jan. 14. She was summoned to appear July 22.

Brittany L. Hurn, 20, Milton-Freewater, was charged June 12 with second-degree organized retail theft, first-degree identity theft, and second-degree theft Jan. 14. She was summoned to appear July 22.

SENTENCED

Thomas A. Ebding, 64, College Place, was sentenced June 11 for carrying a concealed pistol without a license on Dec. 30, 2017. The charges was amended from the original of first-degree unlawful firearm possession. The sentence included 90 days in jail, with 86 suspended and credit for four days served; one year of probation; and $250 in fines and fees.

Yong Zhong Tan, 34, Salem, Ore., was sentenced June 14 for unlawful issuance of bank checks from March 12-22, 2018. The charge were amended from the original of first-degree theft and unlawful issuance of bank checks. The sentence included $7,200 in restitution, fines and fees; and 14 months in prison, with credit for two days served, to run concurrently with cases in Marion County Circuit Court, Oregon.

Erasmo Garza Jr., 60, Walla Walla, was sentenced June 14 in two cases: one, for meth possession on Sept. 12, 2018, and another for third-degree theft on Nov. 2, 2018. The second case was amended from original charges which also included second-degree burglary. The sentence included $750 in fines and fees; 365 days in jail, with credit for 185 days served and 179 suspended; two years of probation; indefinitely trespassed from all Walmart properties; and a chemical dependency evaluation.

Kyle M. Clark, 48, Burbank, was sentenced on June 17 for third-degree assault on Aug. 24, 2018. The charge was amended from the original which was second-degree assault. The sentence included $800 in fees and fines; to-be-determined restitution; 164 days in jail, with credit for eight days, 104 converted to 52 weekends from 7 p.m. Fridays to 7 p.m. Sundays, concurrent to another sentence, 30 days converted to 240 community service hours; and one year of community custody.

DISMISSALS

Charges against Jorge L. Acevedo, 29, Pasco, of residential burglary and third-degree assault on Jan. 8, 2018, were dismissed on June 5 because the deputy prosecuting attorney’s motion stated the victim and witness refused to cooperate.

The charge against Billy F. Pate, 59, Dayton, of second-degree assault on Feb. 8, was dismissed on June 10 because Eastern State Hospital determined he was not competent to stand trial and would not be in the future. Pate also was remanded to the hospital’s custody and the Department of Social and Health Services was ordered to “evaluate and file, if appropriate, civil commitment proceedings,” documents stated. The hospital and DSHS were to notify attorneys “of their decision to file a petition for the involuntary commitment” of Pate.

Charges against Noelle I. Straggi, 51, no known address, of forgery and second-degree theft on March 6, 2018, were dismissed on June 17 because the deputy prosecuting attorney’s motion stated the state wouldn’t be able to prove each element of the crimes beyond a reasonable doubt.
