Dartmouth Police Arrest and Seize Large Amount of Fentanyl

 

 

Dartmouth — Dartmouth Police say they have arrested a Fall River man and have seized a large amount of fentanyl.

Police arrested Justin Griffey, 37, of 193 Albion street in Fall River on Saturday following an investigation. Following the arrest, detectives seized 79 grams of suspected fentanyl worth an estimated $4,000 in street value. According to police, they also seized 2.5 grams of cocaine, digital scales, a cutting agent, and $722 in cash.

Along with being charged with numerous motor vehicle offenses, Griffey was charged with trafficking fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

According to Chief Brian P. Levesque, “As part of our uncompromising and continued dedication of ridding Dartmouth of these dangerous peddlers of death, this is the fourth drug-related arrest that detectives have made in the past two days.”
