05 Jan Driving without lights leads to meth-dealing arrests
MUNCIE, Ind. – Traveling without their vehicle’s headlights on about 1:30 a.m. Friday led to two Muncie residents’ arrests on meth-dealing allegations.
Joshua Robert Corwin, 30, and Lathasha Laurann Parks, 28, were taken into custody a few minutes after a city police officer saw their Jeep Wranger traveling on 18th Street near Macedonia Avenue.
They were later found outside their vehicle in the parking lot of a tobacco store in the 1700 block of East 18th Street.

Investigators found two syringes, filled with an unidentified liquid, and a set of digital scales in the Jeep.
Nearby, in an area where Corwin and Parks had been observed walking, officers found five plastic bags containing a total of seven grams of meth.
Both were preliminarily charged with dealing in meth, possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia.
Corwin – also charged with driving while suspended, despite a failed attempt to persuade authorities Parks had been driving – was being held in the Delaware County jail under a $70,000 bond.
The Muncie man has been convicted of carrying a handgun without a license. domestic battery, driving while intoxicated, escape, possession of a controlled substance and possession of precursors.
Parks’ bond was set at $32,500. She has been convicted of unlawful possession of a syringe, conversion and visiting a common nuisance.
