Drug task force investigations net 15 arrests in Brattleboro area | Local News

BRATTLEBORO — Since September, 15 people in Windham and Windsor counties have been arrested and charged with the sale of controlled substances as a result of efforts by the Vermont Drug Task Force, according to Vermont State Police. 

Ten of those arrested are from Brattleboro.

Vermont State Police announced the arrests in a news release last week detailing drug investigations into the distribution of heroin, fentanyl and cocaine in the greater Brattleboro and Springfield, Vt., areas. The investigations were prompted by an uptick in overdose cases over the summer of 2018, according to Detective Sgt. Chris Lora.

The people who have been charged are Michelle Carrasquillo, 36, of Brattleboro for sale of a regulated prescription drug; Terence Carr, 45, of Springfield, Vt., for sale of heroin and fentanyl; Sarah Cassell, 31, of Brattleboro for sale of cocaine; William Dalling, 61, of Charlestown, N.H., for sale of fentanyl; Beth Davis, 41, of Brattleboro for sale of a regulated prescription drug; Davion Fluker, 23, of Newark, N.J., for sale of cocaine; Peter Garrett, 31, of Brattleboro for sale of cocaine; Rachel Gauthier, 48, of Brattleboro for sale of heroin and fentanyl; Brandon Heist, 21, of Springfield, Vt., for sale of fentanyl; Daniel Horton, 34, of Brattleboro for sale of a regulated prescription drug; Corey Jackson, 31, of Brattleboro for sale of fentanyl; Dalton Kissell, 28, of Brattleboro for sale of heroin and fentanyl; Jocelyn Pond, 29, of Brattleboro for sale of fentanyl; Justine Pond, 29, of Brattleboro for sale of fentanyl; and Joshua Sargent, 32, of Enfield, N.H., for sale of fentanyl, according to the release. 

The release notes that the investigations are ongoing and asks anyone with information to contact the Vermont Drug Task Force at 802-722-4600 or submit a tip anonymously at www.vtips.info.
