05 Jan East Liverpool police report finding ‘very large amount’ of fentanyl
EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) – Police made several arrests after they reported finding a large amount of suspected fentanyl at a motel in East Liverpool.
Officers first made a traffic stop in the downtown area.
The driver attempted to run but was caught, according to investigators.
It turns out that the driver was wanted on felony warrants out of Maryland and was considered armed and dangerous. Police said he had prior arrests for false imprisonment, burglary, sexual assault and multiple drug offenses
The investigation led police to the Vista Motel where other suspects wanted on felony warrants were found.
Police say inside of a room was a “very large amount” of suspected fentanyl and different drug paraphernalia.
Police didn’t release the names of the suspects but posted their photos on their Facebook page.
