ELKTON — A drug bust executed by the Elkton Police Department on Wednesday morning resulted in two arrests and yielded Xanax pills, heroin/fentanyl mix, more than $5,000 in cash, and various drug paraphernalia.

Elkton Police Department’s Street Crime Unit (SCU) assisted the Maryland State Apprehension Team (MSAT) in responding to the 100 block of Red Hill Road in Elkton at about 6 a.m. Wednesday in an attempt to locate a Brandon Richard Majerowicz, who was wanted on violation of probation (VOP) warrant and a bench warrant, according to police.

After the arriving officers observed 33-year-old Majerowicz leaning out of a window and tossing items to the ground, they entered the residence and placed Majerowicz under arrest. Officers also found 31-year-old Burns Alvin Ford inside of the residence, EPD reported.

Officers located the items that Majerowicz tossed out the window, which they discovered to be “several ‘bundles’ of suspected heroin/fentanyl mix along with Xanax pills,” police said.

Police reported they found more suspected heroin/fentanyl inside of the residence’s bathroom.

Upon these discoveries, police secured the residence until they were able to obtain a search and seizure warrant at about 7:18 a.m. that same day, at which time they completed a further search of the residence.

Police reported they found 34 Xanax pills, 239 baggies of heroin/fentanyl mix, $5,753 in cash, five cell phones, a digital scale, a glassine pipe, and boxes of needles for distribution.

Police arrested Majerowicz and Ford and charged them with with multiple charges related to controlled dangerous substance criminal activities, EPD reported.
