RICHMOND, Ind. — Police officers allegedly found fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine when serving a search warrant at a city mobile home.

Linda Sue Allen, 50, of the 1400 block of New Paris Pike was jailed Monday morning after her arrest inside her residence. Later Monday, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges of Level 3 felony dealing fentanyl, Level 5 felony dealing heroin, Level 6 felony possession of methamphetamine and Level 6 felony maintaining a common nuisance against Allen.

Probable cause for the charges was found Tuesday morning with bond set at $30,000 with 10 percent cash authorized for $15,000 of that bond. An initial hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. May 29 in Wayne Superior Court 1.

A Level 3 felony conviction carries a standard nine-year sentence and a range of three to 16 years as established by the Indiana legislature. A Level 5 felony conviction’s penalties are a three-year standard with a range of one to six years, and a Level 6 felony conviction carries a standard one-year sentence with a range of six months to 2½ years.

Just before 5 a.m. Monday, Judge David Kolger granted and signed a search warrant for Allen’s residence at the conclusion of an investigation by Richmond Police Department Officer Paul Hutchison, according to the affidavit of probable cause. About 5:45 a.m., officers served the warrant, finding Allen standing in the kitchen.

Officer Thomas Foster and his K-9, Bo, conducted free-air sniffs throughout the residence, the affidavit said. In a bedroom, officers located a bag containing 10.5 grams of fentanyl and another bag containing 1.5 grams of heroin. A digital scale was found on a living room coffee table, and Allen’s purse contained ledgers with names, prices and weights in grams as well as a wallet containing $1,439. A safe in the kitchen contained spoons, a baggie with methamphetamine and a blue glass pipe.

The amount of fentanyl officers discovered enhanced the dealing charge from the standard Level 5 felony level to the Level 3 felony level.

Allen remained incarcerated at midday Tuesday.
