04 Feb Four Arrested In Drug Raid
Four people were arrested in Brockton on drug charges following an investigation into an illegal drug ring that set up shop next to a homeless shelter.
Brockton police say detectives executed a search warrant at 88 North Main St. at Mid-day on Saturday.
The target of the investigation, 55-year-old Luis Colon was found with 1.5 grams of Fentanyl in his waistband. Detectives also found a plastic bag containing 51.7 grams of Fentanyl in a kitchen cabinet above the sink and eight counterfeit $100 bills in a bedroom closet.
Another suspect, 24-year-old Christopher Lugo tried to jump out of a bedroom window when police entered but a detective managed to secure him and officers recovered a clear plastic bag he dropped on the floor with twenty grams of cocaine inside. There was another bag with 18.2 grams of crack cocaine. A third bag had 2.5 grams of Heroin/Fentanyl inside. Money was also seized from a bedroom window ledge along with cash he tried to throw out the window. Lugo also had more than $900 in his possession along with two Oxycodone pills and four Adderall capsules. He also gave a false name to police and has additional drug charges pending against him.
Josue Manuel Torres was found on a bed where detectives seized two bags of Fentanyl weighing 6.5 grams, 12 grams of crack cocaine and cut plastic bags with torn corners along with scissors. They also found a bag of crack in his right front jacket pocket and over $1,200 in his left jacket pocket. Twelve suboxone strips were found in a backpack.
Finally Charles Dean Warren was found with crack cocaine in his front pants pocket.
Police say the investigation lasted eight months.
