04 Feb Four men arrested in Brockton for involvement in illegal drug ring
Police on Saturday arrested four men who allegedly set up an illegal drug ring near a homeless shelter in Brockton, officials said.
Officers arrested Luis Colon, 55, Josue Torres, 22, Charles Warren, 52, and Christopher Lugo, 24, while conducting a search at 88 North Main St. around midday, police said.
Lugo tried to jump out of a window after police found him in a bedroom, according to Brockton police. After restraining him, police found two bags containing around 20 grams of cocaine and a third bag containing 2.5 grams of heroin and fentanyl. Police also found about $5,400, including $948 that Lugo had thrown out the window, along with two oxycodone pills and four Adderall capsules.
Colon who was the target of a month-long investigation, was found in possession of about53 grams of fentanyl and eight counterfeit $100 bills.
Police arrested Torres after finding him with two bags of fentanyl weighing 6.5 grams. They also recovered more than 12 grams of crack cocaine, 12 Suboxone strips, and $1,244.
Warren was arrested when police found 0.4 grams of crack cocaine in his pants pocket, officials said.
The men face multiple drug possession and trafficking charges. Lugo was also charged with giving a false name to police.
