Foxboro Fentanyl Mill Man Skips Court, 1,000 Grams Seized: PD

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A man accused last year of setting up a fentanyl mill in his apartment has a new warrant out for his arrest, after police said he skipped his court date.

Stephan Pena, 24, orginally from Miami but living in Foxborough apartment, was free on bail, according to police, but he failed to show up to his pretrial hearing in U.S. District Court in Boston. A judge had denied his request to throw out evidence, the Sun Chronicle Reported.

Pena’s attorney, Veronica White told the court she had no contact with him and didn’t know where he was.

Pena was arrested on Nov. 3, 2017 after police said they seized over 1,000 grams of fentanyl from his apartment, and he assaulted an officer. Around 2:20 a.m., police arrived at the Lodge at Foxborough Apartments on Foxborough Boulevard for a report of a disturbance.

According to police, Pena told officers his family members were fighting and tried closing the door on the officers. When an officer blocked the door, police said Pena yelled “They are coming in,” in Spanish. When police tried to arrest him, police said he assaulted them. Officers said they seized the fentanyl and a homemade mill used for manufacturing the drug.

Pena pled not guilty to the charges.
