Livingston County News | 2 facing charges after fentanyl, crack found during traffic stop

CALEDONIA – Two Livingston County residents are facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop in which deputies allegedly found fentanyl and crack cocaine in the vehicle, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputy Michael Donald stopped a vehicle June 26 on Telephone Road in the town of Caledonia for an alleged violation of state Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The driver was identified as Amber M. Torregrossa, 42, of York, and a passenger in the vehicle was identified as James L. Horne, 29, of Mount Morris.

The deputy suspected that the vehicle occupants were involved with drug activity and conducted a roadside drug investigation. Deputy Connor Sanford and Deputy Michael Wade along with his narcotics certified K-9 partner Hondo responded to the scene to assist.

The investigation alleged the Torregrossa was in possession of fentanyl along with hypodermic needles. Horne was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine along with a smoking device, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Torregrossa was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.

Horne was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Torregrossa and Horne were later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at Livingston County Jail before Town of Mount Morris Justice David Provo, who remanded both defendants to the custody of the Sheriff. Torregrossa was remanded on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond, while Horne was remanded on $200 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
