A Buffalo man allegedly caught with about 600 grams of heroin mixed with fentanyl was arraigned Wednesday in State Supreme Court on drug charges, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said 39-year-old Willie Loyd was charged with one count of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 10 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and eight counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Loyd was charged with two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Between Nov. 3 and March 4, Loyd allegedly sold fentanyl to an undercover officer on eight occasions, prosecutors said.

A March 7 raid on a Zenner Street residence by the Erie County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit resulted in the alleged seizure of about 600 grams of heroin mixed with fentanyl, along with packaging materials, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Loyd, held without bail, was scheduled to return to court May 22, prosecutors said.
