BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff’s Office reports a man attempted to enter the Rath Building with four packages of fentanyl, when deputies discovered the fentanyl he ran and was caught along Pearl Street.
The sheriff’s office says the incident occurred around 10 a.m. Wednesday, 41-year-old Carl Korzkowski failed to clear the metal detector upon entry to the building. He was screened by deputies who discovered the fentayl in his pocket and Kozlowski fled.
He was taken into custody along Pearl Street following a struggle, deputies report he resisted arrest.
Kozlowski is charged with misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the holding center and later relased.
