A Buffalo man who was convicted of possessing and selling fentanyl has been sentenced to serve 30 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said that on Feb. 11, 2018, an individual working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration arranged to purchase five grams of fentanyl from 33-year-old Antonio Broadus. The following day, the two met in the parking lot of a retail store on Jefferson Avenue, where the deal was consummated, prosecutors said.

Broadus also sold another 5 grams of fentanyl to a separate individual working with the DEA on Jan. 29, 2018, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Broadus was convicted of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and distribution of fentanyl.
