Manchester man pleads guilty to meth trafficking | Crime

Daniel Irving, 28, of Manchester, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Concord to participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Irving is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 10.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on Sept. 19, 2018, police officers encountered Irving and another individual in a vehicle near a convenience store in Concord.

The car was transported to the Concord police department to be stored until officers could obtain a search warrant.

On Sept. 20, 2018, Concord police executed a search warrant on the car. Officers noted in the front passenger area was a large amount of paperwork, mail, bills of sale, car paperwork, and check stubs. A loaded syringe with a brown liquid was located in the locked glove compartment of the car.

On the rear passenger right side, police found an unlocked safe with a combination lock on the floor of the car.

Inside the safe was a glass mirror with residue and fingerprints; a digital scale; notebook paper with apparent drug ledger; multiple empty plastic baggies; Suboxone Strips in a plastic bag; and four bags of methamphetamine glass shards with an approximate weight of 77.27 grams or 2.72 ounces, with one bag containing 2 ounces.

Inside a black bag/case was a .380 Ruger LCP subcompact black semi-automatic pistol, which was loaded with six rounds, two of which were hollow points; and three .22 rounds. Inside a black backpack was found a silver suitcase with multiple butane lighters and a stiletto spring open knife with white and brown plastic handle.

The total drugs seized were approximately 88.76 grams or 3.13 ounces of crystal methamphetamine; 2.58 grams of fentanyl/heroin; and Suboxone strips.

“Methamphetamine presents a rising threat to the citizens of New Hampshire,” said Murray in a statement. “This is especially true when dealers are in possession of firearms. In order to protect the public, we will work closely with our law enforcement partners to identify and prosecute those who are distributing methamphetamine.”

Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division. “The FBI will continue to aggressively investigate violent drug offenders like Mr. Irving who target our communities with their drug related violent activity to ensure they are held accountable.”
