METRICH search leads to Mansfield arrest after gun, drugs, cash found | News

MANSFIELD — A METRICH search warrant in Mansfield led to an arrest Friday after a gun, cash and drugs were found, according to a press release from Mansfield Police.

Akili Roberts was taken into custody after the METRICH Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Mansfield Police Department, executed a search at 264 East First St. and arrest warrants for Roberts.

During the search and arrest, METRICH detectives seized suspected heroin, fentanyl, an assortment of drug paraphernalia, $4,761.00 cash and a handgun. METRICH detectives arrested and charged Roberts. He was incarcerated at the Richland County Jail where he will await his court appearances.

Additional charges will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

METRICH Detective Nicole Gearhart stated the METRICH Enforcement Unit will continue to target those individuals that traffic drugs in the community and especially those trafficking in fentanyl.
