STRATFORD — Nearly 200 grams of cocaine were seized from a Stratford resident’s home during the execution of a search and seizure warrant earlier this week, according to Connecticut State Police.

Edwin Abrams, 37, of Broadbridge Avenue in Stratford, was taken into custody without incident, state police said.

On Thursday around 4 p.m., members of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force, Statewide Urban Violence Cooperative Crime Control Task Force and Stratford Police Narcotics Unit went to a home on Broadbridge Avenue to serve a search and seizure warrant.

Abrams’ residence, between Marina Drive and Success Avenue, is close to the ABC Child Care Center.

The target of the investigation, Abrams, was taken into custody at his home. State police said he faces multiple narcotic violations.

During the search of Abrams’ home, detectives found 192 grams of cocaine, 32.9 grams of fentanyl, scales and $281 in cash, state police said.

At the time of his arrest, state police said, Abrams was on parole.

Parole officers were contacted about Abrams’ arrest and a ramand to custody order was issued. There were no updated court records available for Abrams on Saturday.
