New London & State Police Task Force Charge 2 With Drug Felonies

NEW LONDON, CT—New London Police VICE and narcotics officers with members of the Connecticut State Police -Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East served a search and seizure warrant at a New London apartment Tuesday that resulted in two arrests and the confiscation of narcotics including crack and fentanyl, police said.

According to police, armed with a warrant, officers searched 280 Gardner Ave., Apt. A5, and “during the execution of the search and seizure warrant, officers “located and seized amounts of fentanyl and crack cocaine, a digital scale, a cell phone, and drug paraphernalia.”

As a result of this search warrant, police said, the following were arrested and charged:

Paul Mounts, 43, of 280 Gardner Ave., apt. A5, New London was charged with two counts of narcotics possession, one count of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also charged was Candy Kovacofsky, 43, of the same address. Kovacofsky was charged with the same offenses: two counts of narcotics possession, one count of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
