Norwell woman accused of selling drugs from her house – News – Marshfield Mariner

NORWELL — A Norwell woman facing a fentanyl trafficking charge was held on a $30,000 cash bail Monday after she was arraigned at South Shore Hospital.

Police have accused a Brianna St. Peter, 39, of selling drugs out of her home on Arrowhead Drive after a months-long investigation that began with a tip in April. She is due back in court July 25.

St. Peter had at least 12 customers that would come to her home, several of whom had recently overdosed police said in report filed with court. St. Peter was arrested Friday while police executed a search warrant on her home. Police said they found more than 31 grams of fentanyl, 6 grams of crack cocaine almost 50 pills of three different prescription medicines, four cell phones and more than $3,300 in cash. St. Peter fell during her arrest and was taken to South Shore Hospital.

After being arrested St. Peter told police she would drive to Boston to pick up narcotics or have them delivered to her house. Police had eyes on St. Peter and her home for months during the investigation, even attaching a GPS to her car.

Besides trafficking fentanyl, St. Peter is charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, Adderall, gabapentin and cyclobenzaprine. Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid cousin to heroin that police say carries a high potential for overdose.

St. Peter is serving a three year probation from when she was sentenced in Plymouth Superior Court in December, 2017 for tampering with a grand jury and misleading a police investigation into a Marshfield murder. She pleaded guilty to three counts of wiretapping, and one count each of misleading a police investigation and distribution of grand jury transcript or testimony with intent to interfere with criminal proceedings.

Prosecutors said St. Peter secretly recorded a grand jury interview in Brockton in October 2015. She and a friend were being interviewed in connection with the Sept. 16, 2016 murder of 45-year-old Robert McKenna in Marshfield.

During the grand jury proceedings, State Police assigned to the district attorney’s office learned a phone may have been slipped into a witness’ jacket pocket to record the interviews. Police searched the jacket and found a cell phone, which they seized.

Later that same afternoon, St. Peter went to the district attorney’s office in Brockton to retrieve the lost phone. She was interviewed by State Police and admitted to concealing the phone in her friend’s jacket in an attempt to record the proceedings.

Earlier this year during the murder trial of Michael Moscaritolo, one of three men accused of killing McKenna, prosecutors said that St. Peter stored several guns stolen from McKenna’s house after he was killed.
