Police: 2 arrested in Norwich drug raid – News – The Bulletin

NORWICH – A Norwich man and woman are facing narcotics-related charges following a drug raid Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police said they applied for and were granted a search warrant which they served 4:30 p.m. Thursday at 13 Carlson Street.

The search came as the result of a follow-up investigation by The Norwich Police Narcotics Division and Officer Nathan O’Keefe into a recent drug overdose, police said.

According to police, 38.9 grams of cocaine, 5 prescription Suboxone strips, 7.2 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, more than 100 bags of Fentanyl, various prescription pills and drug paraphernalia were found and seized in the search. 

Police said they also found and seized $27,974 in cash money, which they said were direct proceeds from narcotics sales, as well as a Chrysler 300 sedan.

Joseph Salimeno, 28, of 13 Carlson Street, was charged with possession of Fentanyl, possession of Fentanyl with intent to sell, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of a hallucinogen, possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics, possession of Fentanyl with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of public housing, possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of public housing, operating a drug factory and interfering with police.

Julia Kozlowski, 30, of 8 Reynolds Street, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of Fentanyl, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of cocaine within 1,500 feet of public housing and interfering with a police officer.

Salimeno was held on a $250,000 bond and Kozlowski was held on $10,000 bond.

Both are due in Norwich Superior Court on April 18.
