Prince George drug trafficking investigation nets firearms, cocaine and fentanyl

Prince George Mounties have seized a host of firearms and drugs as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Police say they found cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Dec. 12.

RCMP obtained and executed two search warrants at two homes in Prince George, one in the 2200 block of Spruce Street and another in the 700 block of Johnson Street.

“At these residences, officers located various amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia, a loaded revolver and a loaded SKS-type rifle,” Cpl. Craig Douglass says in a press release. “The revolver was found to have been stolen from another community.”

As a result, three men and one woman were arrested. All three have been released without charge, police say, as RCMP wait for charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.

If you have information about any illegal drug activity in your neighbourhood, you’re asked to call police at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers (anonymously) at 1-800-222-8477.
