21 Feb Quincy Man Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl
QUINCY, MA — A Boston man was arrested after police said he was selling fentanyl and cocaine in Quincy.
Miguel Vasquez, 24, was charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl, distribution of fentanyl, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Around 4 p.m., on Monday, Vazquez was seen on Granite Street picking a woman up in his car. Police told the Patriot Ledger it looked like Vasquez was conducting a drug deal.When Vasquez dropped the woman off, police said they confronted her, and she admitted to buying drugs.
Officers pulled over Vasquez at the intersection of Common Street and Centre Street and arrested him. According to police, Vasquez was reaching for a steak knife in the door of his car prior to his arrest. After bringing Vasquez back to the station, police told the Patriot Ledger they founds drugs hidden in his buttocks. Police said they seized 13 grams of fentanyl, a bag of cocaine, and about $2,500 in cash.
Vasquez was arraigned in Quincy District Court on Tuesday. He’s being held on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court March 19.
