Three arrested for outstanding warrants, possession of fentanyl, meth (Butler County Sheriff’s Office)

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Three people were arrested Jan. 8 on outstanding warrants and drug possession. During the traffic stop at Park Ave. and F St. in Hamilton, Butler County Police say that they recovered drugs as well as a stolen handgun from the vehicle.

Veronica Sacco, 27, and Nathaniel Morningstar, 30, were arrested on outstanding warrants of out Montgomery County. Morningstar, who also had an outstanding warrant for felony assault, was allegedly found to be in possession of 122 grams of crystal meth, 45 grams of suspected fentanyl and 3 grams of cocaine. He has been charged with possession of drugs and trafficking of drugs.

In 2018, Fentanyl was listed as the most common opiod in overdose drug deaths.

“These guys were instrumental in getting this off the street quickly. The size of a tip of a pencil is enough fentanyl to be lethal; they had 45 grams, let that sink in. I made room at the County Inn for them and that is where they belong,” said Sheriff Jones. Fentanyl is 80-100 times stronger than morphine.

The rear passenger, Alexander Thomas O’Keefe, 31, was arrested for felony possession of drugs for crystal meth which was found as a result of a tip from the Cincinnati Office DEA. The drugs were recovered during a search warrant of a property in Fairfield Township.

Additional charges will be added pending lab results.
