20 Dec Three men arrested with loaded handgun and drugs in car after traffic stop, police say
Three men were arrested in Revere on Tuesday after State Police stopped their car for having illegal window tints and found fentanyl, marijuana, and a loaded handgun inside, authorities said.
Heriberto Felix, 21, of Lynn was driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata on Broadway Street around 6 p.m. when a trooper stopped him for unlawful window tints and discovered he was unlicensed, State Police said in a statement.
The trooper looked inside the vehicle and observed an item “consistent with the appearance of packaged, illegal drugs,” State Police said.
After an investigation, State Police discovered “quantities of substances” believed to be fentanyl and marijuana, as well as a fully loaded Ruger 9mm handgun with 15 rounds, State Police said.
Felix and his two passengers, Ricardo Bratini-Perez, 20, of Lynn and Alfred Rodriguez-Fermin, 29, of Revere, were all arrested under several gun and drug charges, State Police said.
Some of the charges included unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a large capacity weapon or feeding device, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and possession of a Class A substance (fentanyl) with intent to distribute.
Felix was charged with additional motor vehicle violations.
The three men were denied bail and were held pending arraignment in Chelsea District Court Wednesday.
