Two arrested for murder in Camden Co. fentanyl, cocaine deaths





CAMDEN CO., Ga. (WSAV) – Authorities have arrested two men in connection with three November deaths in Camden County.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Andrew Jacob Bargman, 57, Antone Moncrieff, 27, and Melissa Nelson, 41, were all found dead on Nov. 8 within hours of one another.

All were found in various locations throughout Camden County, according to the GBI.

The GBI, St. Marys Police Department, the Kingsland Police Department and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office investigated the deaths to determine the cause and if there was a connection between the three.

The GBI says crime lab examinations determined all three individuals died as a result of acute fentanyl and cocaine toxicity.

During the investigation, 39-year-old Alonzo Davis was arrested on outstanding warrants. Additional warrants were taken on him on Dec. 27, including one count of Felony Murder in reference to Antone Moncrieff’s death.

Davis was also charged with two counts of the Distribution or Sale of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl and Cocaine.

On Tuesday, Jan. 15, 41-year-old Rashaad Penta Hines was arrested for Felony Murder in connection with Andrew Jacob Bargman’s death. Hines was also charged with one count of the Distribution or Sale of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl and Cocaine.

No arrests have been made in connection with Melissa Nelson’s death.

The investigation into the three deaths continues.
