02 May Two Men Charged in Fentanyl Bust in Brandon
Brandon police stumbled upon 80 grams of fentanyl during a traffic stop in the city on Wednesday.
Police say the drugs have a street value of about $48,000. They also seized a quantity of cash.
One of the two people inside the vehicle was also found to have a Taser disguised as a flashlight.
A 59-year-old man from Starbuck, Manitoba and a 35-year-old Winnipeg man were arrested and charged.
The first suspect faces drug-related charges and for allegedly breaching a court order. The second suspect already had an arrest warrant out relating to assault and mischief under $5,000.
Both men will appear in Brandon court later today.
