Two people wanted on heroin, fentanyl charges arrested in Owensboro

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Two people wanted on federal warrants have been arrested in Owensboro.

US Marshals and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office detectives served federal warrants at a home on West Byers Avenue.

They went to the home to find Michael Green, 41, and Jazzman Warren, 34, for trafficking heroin and fentanyl.

Both suspects were located and arrested.

While inside the home, US Marshals and detectives say there were illegal drugs and other contraband in plain view in multiple rooms.

A search warrant was obtained, and authorities searched the home.

Detectives say they found additional heroin and fentanyl inside the home, drug paraphernalia, and items that indicated an ongoing drug dealing operation.

In addition to Green and Warren, Nicholas Nies, 24, was arrested on warrants for unlawful transaction with a minor, possession of a controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Because the home was close to Newton Parrish Elementary School and a daycare at Walnut Memorial Baptist Church, both facilities were put on a brief lockdown until the operation was complete.

There was an ambulance staged in the area due to the presence of fentanyl to help with safety.

the operation for safety purposes

Because of the presence of fentanyl, Yellow Ambulance of Daviess County was staged in the area and assisted in the operation for safety purposes.

All three have been taken to the Daviess County Jail.

Warren is being held without bond and Nies is being held on a $5,211 cash bond.
