Wareham Man Charged With Trafficking Cocaine and Fentanyl

An East Wareham man is under arrest after the police raided his home on Friday and found a large amount of illegal drugs.

According to a press release from Wareham Police, Detectives from Wareham and Fairhaven, plus the D-E-A and a K-9 unit from the Plymouth County Sherrif’s Department raided the Bartlett Lane home and found more than 530 grams of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine.

Also recovered were 19 grams of fentanyl, some suboxone along with baggies and scales.

The occupant, 58-year old Robert Ward was charged with trafficking more than 200 grams of Cocaine, trafficking in Fentanyl and illegal possession of a Class B drug.

Chief John Walcek says the drug seizure came about because of an intensive investigation and cooperation among local police and the D-E-A. He said Detectives involved in the case did an outstanding job.
