15 Mar Windsor man arrested in suspected fentanyl, cocaine bust
A Windsor man faces fentanyl and cocaine charges after Windsor police executed drug search warrants Thursday night at a home in the 1300 block of Jessop Street and a commercial property in the 6500 block of Tecumseh Road East.
Michael Bernard, 39, has been charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of fentanyl and cocaine. He was located and arrested after the search warrant was executed at the east Windsor commercial property at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Investigators with the Windsor police drugs and guns unit were seen collecting evidence at the Tecumseh Road East property on Friday and a drug trafficking investigation continues, police said Friday night. City police would only say that “a quantity” of suspected fentanyl and cocaine was located and seized, as well as a quantity of Canadian currency.
The search warrant at the Jessop Street residence was executed around 8:50 p.m. Thursday. The drugs and guns unit was assisted by a number of other units, including emergency services, criminal investigations, K-9, traffic and patrol units.
