BEVERLY – Four city men have been indicted on 59 charges arising from an undercover narcotics investigation here.

The probe focused on a home on the 200 block of Broad Street that was repeatedly visited by police, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officers responded for suspected offenses that included drug activity, gambling and weapons offenses, the prosecutor’s office said Friday.

The investigation ended with a March 2018 raid that led to multiple arrests.

Charles Tallmadge Jr., a 58-year-old resident of the home, was among the men indicted Thursday for drug distribution and other offenses.

Also indicted were Robert J. Hawkins, 49, of the 500 block of Cooper Street; Derrick Bell, 27, of the Delacove Homes; and Davaughn J. Whitfield-Gaines, 21, of the 300 block of Third Street.

Their alleged crimes include the possession and sale of heroin, cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana, the prosecutor’s office said.
