Two Monroe County women facing drug delivery resulting in death charges

HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WOLF) — Two Monroe County women are facing serious drug charges, including drug delivery resulting in death, after police say the fentanyl-laced heroin they gave another woman caused her overdose death.

29-year-old Lindsay Daddio and 25-year-old Alexondra Devivo are facing a maximum of 77 years in prison and more than $50,000 in fines.

The Wayne County District Attorney says he’s not typically big on sending messages to criminals through specific cases, but he’s fed up with all of the drug activity and overdose deaths in the county and surrounding areas.

Officials say on November 30 last year, the two roommates from Stroudsburg got a ride from 24-year-old Victoria Bachmann to Paterson, New Jersey to buy heroin.

The two bought $220 worth of drugs, and paid Bachmann, of Cherry Ridge Township, 20 baggies for the trip.

Then sometime between that night and early the next morning, Bachmann died of an overdose — the drugs found to be laced with fentanyl.

“The people of Wayne County are sick and tired of these drug dealers bringing drugs from Paterson, NJ here to our county and to other counties in northeast Pennsylvania where people are using these drugs and they’re dying,” Wayne County District Attorney Patrick Robinson said.

Officials say the drugs found in Bachmann’s system and at her home match up with the ones found in Daddio and Devivo’s home – and that cell phone records and messages between the three confirmed they were headed to Paterson to buy those drugs.

The Wayne County District Attorney says he’s sending a message to all drug dealers no matter where they fall on the totem pole.

“The parents and friends and family of the people that are dying, they could give two hoots whether or not it’s a big time drug dealer from the Bronx, NY or a small time drug dealer from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania,” Robinson said.

Now, the main concern for officials is securing some sort of justice for Bachmann’s family.

“We’re concerned with the family of this girl that passed away and obviously like Pat said, getting justice for the family it doesn’t bring their daughter back. But part of the investigation that we do is to try to secure a good outcome and a conviction so that it’s a little bit of justice for a family that lost a loved one,” Pennsylvania State Trooper John Decker said.

Both Daddio and Devivo are locked up on $100,000 bail.

They’re due back in court March 27.
